Course Description:

This is a Norwegian class at an intermediate level. We will work on grammar and on

increasing our vocabulary, and we also speak more Norwegian and work on our listening

skills. We gradually build up our vocabulary and speak Norwegian. The focus is on

practicing face-to-face communication in typical everyday situations. 

Student Learning Objectives:

Students will build upon their basic Norwegian vocabulary and grammatical skills to

further expand their knowledge of the language.

Upon completion of the class, students are expected to be able to do the following:

-Write and understand simple texts on topics.

- Participate in conversations.

 

Learning Methods:

This class will be taught in a “learner centered” approach. There will be short lectures

followed by speaking, writing, listening, and reading, including other activities. The goal

of this approach is to allow students to learn from each other as well as from the

instructor and the course materials.
